[SALE] Batik of Java (Clothes), souvenirs that you have to buy if you visit Indonesia

Batik is a special patterned fabric made using certain techniques (according to the type of batik). Initially, the name "batik" comes from the Javanese word "Ambathik" (Amba = wide, thik = point/dots / matik = making dots/point), means that batik is made on a wide cloth with a pattern of connecting dots. Then the term "ambathik" was replaced by the word "bathik" until now better known as "batik". Allegedly batik originated from the era of the Majapahit kingdom in Java and was popular as a clothing trend among the people at that time. However, over time batik is not only found in Java, some regions in Indonesia also have batik with distinctive patterns such as Minangkabau batik, Minahasa batik, Aceh batik, and several other types. On October 2, 2009, UNESCO established Indonesian batik as a Humanitarian Heritage for Oral and Non-Cultural Culture (Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity). Batik making has various ways. Conventionally, batik is made from the coloring wax (malam) as a coloring and manual writing technique using canting (this batik  called batik tulis). This technique is widely used until the XX century. At the time of World War I raged, another technique was found, namely stamp technique (stamped batik/ batik cap). The development of batik continues until now many people have produced batik with printing techniques (batik printing). In Indonesia, batik is one of the distinctive cultural heritages, especially in Java. Batik is often used in celebrations and folk shows in Java such as official ceremonies at the Yogyakarta Palace, celebrations of holidays such as Kartini day every April 21, puppet show, kuda lumping show, and many more. As a cultural heritage, batik is often used as a dress code at official events in Indonesia as a form of respect for the richness of Indonesian culture such as at the commemoration of regional celebrations, the selection of regional ambassadors, and welcoming state guests. Many agencies in Indonesia also require batik as clothing on certain days, for example on certain campuses that require batik dress every Friday, civil servants in the sub-districts / regions must wear batik on Saturdays, some schools wear batik patterns as one uniforms worn by students every Wednesday, and others.
